Apple fans willing to pay $1,000 for the iPhone 8

Apple is expected to launch new iPhones in September, with the iPhone 8 set to be one of the devices.

Rumours surrounding the smartphone state it will have multiple new features, including an infrared face scanner.

How much would the new features and the pleasure of owning an iPhone 8 be worth? Over $1,000, according to a report by Softpedia.

The report stated that a survey conducted by Fluent showed only 5% of current iPhone owners would switch to a Samsung smartphone for their next device.

40% of iPhone owners said they would buy the iPhone 8 “regardless of the price”.

“70% of the respondents said they would stick with the iPhone despite a $1,000+ price tag, and not even consider a different brand,” stated the report.

The iPhone 8 may cost $999 for the 64GB model and “an extra $100 added for every storage bump”, stated Softpedia.
