What the iPhone X will cost in South Africa

The starting price of the iPhone X in South Africa may be around R20,000, said Mobile in Africa CEO RJ Van Spaandonk.
Van Spaandonk, who is also the Executive Director of Core Group, said the iPhone X could cost double that of Xiaomi’s flagship devices – which are set to retail for around R10,500 in SA.
Apple unveiled the iPhone X on 12 September.
Two models of the device are available – one with 64GB of storage for $999, and a 256GB model for $1,149.
While the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are set for a local launch on 20 October, the iPhone X has not yet received an SA launch date.
Core has not announced when it will launch the device or when pre-orders will open.
Industry speculation suggests the iPhone X will be on sale in South Africa from mid-November.
