Apple has accused Qualcomm of patent infringement in a legal suit, reported Reuters.
The patents involve power management, ensuring each part of a phone’s processor only draws the minimum power needed, and turning off parts of the processor when they are not needed.
Apple said Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 and 820 processors infringe on these patents. The processors are used in Samsung and Google phones.
The suit follows Qualcomm suing Apple for patent infringement in July. It alleged that Apple infringed on six patents covering various aspects of mobile phone technology.
The company also tried to get certain versions of the iPhone blocked from being sold in the US.
