Qualcomm has announced support for the Go edition of Android Oreo.
Mid-to-low-end Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile platforms will be ready shortly after Android 8.1 Oreo is released to the Android Open Source Project.
Android Go ships with a rebuilt set of Google’s popular apps and a version of Google Play that highlights apps designed to work best on smartphones with 1GB or less of RAM.
Android Oreo Go includes features to control and monitor data usage, along with security improvements featured in Android Oreo.
Devices powered by Snapdragon platforms running Android Oreo Go are expected in early 2018.
