Sony launches Xperia XZ2 Premium with ultra-high-sensitivity dual camera

Sony has unveiled the Xperia XZ2 Premium, which features the “world’s highest ISO sensitivity video recording in a smartphone”.

The company said the device’s cameras deliver ISO sensitivity of 12,800 for video and 51,200 for photos.

It also offers 4K HDR movie recording and playback.

This is also the “world’s only smartphone with 4K HDR movie recording and 4K HDR display”, said Sony.

The Xperia XZ2 Premium is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 3,540mAh battery.

Sony said the device will ship globally later in 2018, and is available in black or silver.

No pricing information was announced.
