BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion (RIM) has confirmed that it will be launching two devices that run on its new BlackBerry 10 mobile operating system (OS).

The first of the two to launch will be the BlackBerry Z10, a full touch screen device without the signature BlackBerry keyboard.

BlackBerry confirmed the following specs for the Z10:

  • 16GB internal storage
  • 4.2-inch 1280×768 IPS LCD display
  • MicroSD card support (up to 32GB)
  • Micro SIM
  • 8 megapixel rear camera, 2MP front camera
  • NFC enabled

Four different variants of the device will be available around the world, three using Qualcomm chipsets and one using a TI OMAP system-on-chip.

RIM also said that they will be launching a hybrid device with a touch screen and keyboard called the BlackBerry Q10.

Earlier reports suggested that this device would be called the “X10”.
