HTC One launched, Vodacom contract prices revealed
Vodacom announced on Twitter today (8 May 2013) that the HTC One has launched on its network, starting at R449/month on a Smart S contract.
All of the Smart contracts will include a bonus 250MB of data every month.
According to the Vodacom website, the device has support for Long Term Evolution (LTE) and will run on Vodacom’s LTE network.
Among the other features of the device are an “ultrapixel” camera, a 4.7-inch 1080p touch display, and a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor running Android 4.2.
The HTC One also features the Taiwanese smartphone maker’s new-look software called “Blinkfeed”, which instead of the normal Android home screen, links to news sources and your social media accounts to display content.
HTC was initially aiming to launch the device during April 2013, but towards the middle of March revised its expectation to May.
