Nokia Lumia 925 revealed
Nokia has officially unveiled its Lumia 925 – a new flagship device running the Windows Phone operating system.
The Lumia 925 ditches the full polycarbonate unibody that was a bit of a signature on previous Lumia phones, and now sports a polycarbonate rear with aluminium sides.
The Lumia 925 is 8.5mm thick and weighs 139 grams, a fair reduction on the dimensions of previous flagship device, the Lumia 920.
The Lumia 925 screen is a 4.5-inch OLED display at 1280×768. Under the hood, the specs are largely the same as the Lumia 920, boasting a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, and 16GB storage .
It has an 8.7MP PureView rear camera and 1.2MP front-facing camera. An interesting change in the camera tech is the addition of a sixth glass lens (to augment the 5 plastic lenses from the Lumia 920 design).
The Lumia 925 will reportedly hit the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, and China in June 2013, in a selection of grey and black metallic colours, with other markets to follow.
The Lumia 925 at is pegged at 469 Euros (±R5,600) in Europe.
