LG Optimus G: SA price, availability announced

LG Electronics has announced that the Optimus G smartphone will be available for sale exclusively through their brand store at the LG Lifestyle Centre, Willowbridge Shopping Centre, Cape Town.
The Optimus G will launch with a retail price of R6,999.00.
LG Electronics stated that “the decision to offer a sales channel through the brand store rather than through the traditional mass public channels,” – read cellphone network operators – “was to ensure that the consumers get access to the device as quickly as possible.”
Michael Bruchhausen, LG National Sales Director, said “The demand has been set and we had to make means to get the Optimus G to the consumers.”
