Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, Active, Zoom SA prices, new launch dates
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, Active, and Zoom smartphones will soon be available in South Africa, a Vodacom spokesperson has told MyBroadband.
Vodacom previously told MyBroadband that it planned to launch the new batch of Galaxy S4 devices towards the end of July at select stores, with wider availability expected in August 2013.
Apart from the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE, Vodacom has confirmed that the devices will be available at stores from 1 August 2013. The S4 Mini in particular, is already available at select Vodacom stores.
Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE much later than expected
The launch of the Galaxy S4 LTE, unfortunately, has been pushed back even further, with Vodacom saying they expect to launch it “sometime in September 2013.”
MTN, when asked about its plans for the new Galaxy S4 devices, said that the S4 LTE is still in testing.
“We are expecting to range it and shall announce its availability when… appropriate,” MTN said.

Cell C said that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, LTE, and Zoom are not on their device roadmap.
MTN said that its prices on the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE hasn’t been provided yet, and that the S4 Active is not in their immediate plans.
Telkom Mobile did not respond by the time of publication.
