BlackBerry Q20 goes old-school, with touch
The familiar “Menu”, “Back”, “Send”, and “End” keys will be making a comeback in the BlackBerry Q20, BlackBerry announced at Mobile World Congress on Tuesday, 25 February 2014.
Similar to the BlackBerry Bold 9900, the device will still feature a touch screen, but BlackBerry said that the display will be 3.5-inch, the same size as the Q10.
BlackBerry’s other keyboard devices (Q10, Q5) that run on its new mobile operating system, BlackBerry 10, eschewed the trackpad and the hardware keys that used to surround it.
Their return in the BlackBerry Q20 is a response to customer feedback, BlackBerry said in a press statement accompanying the announcement of the new device.
Though details (like photographs) seem to be scant, BlackBerry said more information will be revealed closer to the launch of the BlackBerry Q20 in the second half of 2014.
