Samsung Galaxy S5 vs iPhone 5s vs Nokia Lumia 1020 vs BlackBerry Z30
Samsung recently unveiled its Galaxy S5 smartphone, promising new features such as an improved camera, revamped user interface, and “Ultra Power Saving Mode.
This raises the inevitable question, how does the Samsung Galaxy S5 compare to the flagship devices from other manufacturers?
Comparing the specification sheets of different devices doesn’t take into account platform- or manufacturer-specific features, or ecosystem.
However, it does remain interesting to see what hardware manufacturers decided to use for their flagship devices.

Not shown in the table is the fact that Samsung has announced the addition of a fingerprint reader and heart rate monitor to the extensive list of sensors already included in a smartphone.
The iPhone 5s has a fingerprint reader of its own, but it works on the principle of placing and holding your finger on a pad, while Samsung’s works by swiping your finger over a reader.
Samsung’s Galaxy S5 will also feature a heart rate sensor, which is located on the back of the device below the camera lens. The iPhone 5s instead has the M7 co-processor, which Apple said would enable a new generation of health and fitness apps.
