Samsung Galaxy S5 coming to FNB

First National Bank (FNB) customers will be able to order the Samsung Galaxy S5 as one of their smart devices when it launches in South Africa on 11 April 2014, the bank said in a press statement.

Qualifying FNB customers are able to pay off up to 4 devices at a time via their FNB account, which are offered on 24-month interest free contracts.

According to FNB, clients can order their Galaxy S5 from 11 April 2014 via the FNB website, or by sending an SMS containing the word “deal” to 31138.

FNB said it applies qualifying criteria and approved customers can expect to receive their device within 5 to 7 working days. Those who wish to purchase their device in store can do so at a dotFNB branch, FNB said.

“To date, a total of 9,400 Samsung S4 devices have been sold through the FNB smart device offer and we expect that the uptake on the S5 will be similar if not quicker,” said Kartik Mistry, head of smart devices at FNB Core Banking Solutions.
