HTC One M8 confirmed for South Africa

Vodacom has confirmed that it plans to offer the HTC One M8 in South Africa, a spokesperson has told MyBroadband.
Answering questions about its local launch plans for the device, Vodacom said that they would confirm the pricing and launch date closer to the time.
HTC launched the One M8 in North America on 25 March, confirming many of the rumours leading up to the event.
Among the features that HTC focused on most at the event were the “Duo Camera array”, and the new power saving modes of the HTC One M8.
As with the HTC One, the M8 features a 4 Megapixel (MP) “UltraPixel” camera which HTC says lets each pixel capture more light than most 13MP cameras.
The second camera is a depth sensor which, among other things, will let you refocus a photograph after taking it.
HTC has also included a power saver mode which it said can let the device last up to 2 weeks from a full charge. On 20% charge the HTC One M8 can get 60 hours of standby time, 30 hours on 10%, and 15 hours on 5%, HTC said.
The device was immediately available from Verizon Wireless on Tuesday, 25 March 2014, HTC said, with wider North American availability expected by 10 April 2014.
According to HTC, the HTC One M8 will be available on over 230 carriers in over 100 countries around the world, HTC said.
