“OK Google” voice search in official Chrome

Google recently announced that with the latest release of Chrome, all users can now trigger a voice search by speaking the command “OK Google”.

Although voice search is not a new feature for Google (even on desktop), voice-activated voice search on the desktop version of Chrome is.

Obviously the PC on which the browser is running has to be equipped with a microphone, but “OK Google” also only works if your Chrome browser language is set to US-English and if you’re searching Google.com.

Localised sites such as Google.co.za won’t work just yet.
