Google Developer Summit in South Africa: apply now

The first ever Google Developer Summit in Sub-Saharan Africa is taking place in three cities in 2015, including Cape Town.

It will take place in Lagos on 19 August, Nairobi on 22 August, and Cape Town on 25 August.

This will be a technical event with two parallel sessions – one on Android and the other on Cloud/Web – facilitated by Googlers and experts from around the world.

The sessions will include talks and hands-on code labs covering Android apps, with a focus on Material Design, and building non-native mobile web apps, with a focus on Push Notifications and Offline Page Caching for Chrome.

Application is free, but is limited to 70 participants per city. Those interested can apply by filling out this Google form by 31 July 2015.

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted in early August with all the necessary details.
