How much money Google makes from Android
Google has earned $31 billion in revenue and a total of $22 billion (R363 billion) in profit since Android was launched.
According to a report by Bloomberg, Oracle lawyer Annette Hurst revealed the figures as part of a legal battle with the search engine giant.
The money is mostly made from Google ads shown on Android phones and from the Play Store’s revenue.
“That non-public financial data is highly sensitive, and public disclosure could have significant negative effects on Google’s business,” said Google, after the numbers were disclosed.
