Microsoft Edge not getting a native ad blocker
Microsoft has denied reports that it plans to build a native ad blocker into its Microsoft Edge browser.
ZDNet reported that adding ad-blocking was currently the fourth-highest priority for the Microsoft Edge development team.
Microsoft responded to the report, saying that a presentation slide which ZDNet used for its report was misleading.
“Microsoft is not building a native ad blocker with Microsoft Edge. What you saw is a reference to the work we’re already doing in bringing extensions to Microsoft Edge,” the company said.
