Google offering developers more money

Google will now take 15% of revenue from app developers for subscription apps on its Google Play store.

Recode reported that Google is moving from its current 70/30 split to an 85/15 split for subscriptions.

“Instead of requiring developers to hook a subscriber for 12 months before offering the better split, it will make it available right away,” reported Recode.

This follows an announcement by Apple that it is decreasing its take from 30% to 15% for subscription apps.
