Google Chrome for virtual reality in development
The beta and developer branches of Chrome for Android have received new features that suggest the browser will support virtual reality in the future, Engadget reported.
Chrome Beta now supports WebVR, which promises to support sites that are designed for virtual reality.
Chrome Dev offers a VR Shell, according to François Beaufort, which lets users of Google’s Cardboard and Daydream systems browse the Internet with a headset.
This will help solve the problem of needing to take off a VR headset when you navigate to a site that doesn’t support VR.
The VR Shell and other features should appear in stable beta versions of Chrome in the near future, said the report.
