IBM’s Watson diagnoses rare leukemia better than doctors
IBM’s AI system Watson has diagnosed a 60-year-old woman’s rare form of leukemia that had been incorrectly identified months earlier.
According to a report by Engadget, University of Tokyo doctors reported that the artificial intelligence diagnosed the leukemia in 10 minutes using 20 million cancer research papers.
Watson also identified another rare form of leukemia in another patient, said the university.
Watson has made headlines in recent years for winning at Jeopardy and cooking exotic meals.
