These programming languages have shown a massive drop in the past 10 years
While Google’s Go programming language has shown a big increase in popularity over the past year, established languages have not fared so well in recent times.
According the the latest Tiobe Index, languages like C, C++, and PHP have seen a massive drop in popularity over the past 10 years.
The Tiobe Programming Community index is an indicator of the popularity of programming languages, with figures update monthly.
The index shows that Go and Groovy have climbed the rankings more than any other language over the past year.
“The ratings are based on the number of skilled engineers worldwide, courses, and third-party vendors,” said Tiobe.
The graphs below show how several of the world’s top programming languages have lost market share in the past 10 years.
