FileZilla Secure FTP client launched
FileZilla Secure – a modified version of FileZilla dedicated to keeping your FTP passwords secure – has been released by a programmer after he was hacked.
FileZilla Secure is a free FTP client that has all the features of the original FileZilla, plus it encrypts FTP passwords to help protect users.
“I decided to modify FileZilla and add master password support, so that I and others could once again use the FTP client I love without risking everything,” he said.
Apart from improved security, FileZilla Secure also increase the maximum number of transfer threads from 10 to 1,000.
“While 1,000 is not recommended, 20, 50, and even 100 threads have been shown to work and have increased transfer speeds by over five-times.”
