Ubuntu Budgie now an official Ubuntu flavour

Budgie-remix developers have told Softpedia that their GNU/Linux distribution built around the Budgie desktop environment is now an official Ubuntu flavour.

The report stated that it is called Ubuntu Budgie and is an “Ubuntu-based distribution that uses Budgie as the default desktop environment”.

“It offers the same level of quality and package selection as any other official Ubuntu flavour, but designed to be lightweight, user-friendly, simple, and customisable,” stated the report.

Softpedia said when the Solus Project releases the Budgie 11 desktop environment for Solus users, “Ubuntu Budgie users will receive the major update as well through the official channel”.
