Skype Lite unveiled
Microsoft has launched Skype Lite, the company’s fastest and smallest app to date, which was designed specifically for use in India.
“From listening to Skype users in India, we felt we could design a more tailored product for the Indian market,” said Microsoft.
Skype Lite is designed to deliver solid performance in challenging network conditions, and use less data and less power.
By using less data, Skype Lite runs more smoothly on 2G networks.
Skype Lite also contains new features, including SMS filtering, mobile data and Wi-Fi usage monitoring, and India-focused Skype Bots.
Android users in India are able to download Skype Lite for free via the Google Play Store.
