Firefox will let you control memory usage and performance
Mozilla is working on a new performance settings section for Firefox, reported BleepingComputer.
The section will allow users to change various preferences which impact performance, such as the maximum number of Firefox processes.
Changing the number of Firefox content processors will allows users to limit the amount of memory used by the browser.
Users will also be able to control whether the browser uses UI animations and page prefetching.
The performance settings page will also include a button to optimise Firefox performance, which disables all extensions.
