New Opera browser launched

Opera has released a new version of its desktop browser, code-named Reborn.

Reborn is a combination of multiple Opera features and a concept browser it released last year called Neon.

Reborn will include the ability to pin the websites of instant messaging services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and Facebook to the browser.

If you use more than one messenger, you can switch between them by using shortcut keys.

Other notable features include a built-in VPN and ad-blocker, which Opera already includes in its desktop browser.

Ars Technica noted that Opera’s ad blocker automatically whitelists four sites: Facebook, Google, Yandex, and Baidu.

Opera told Ars Technica that none of the sites paid to be on the list. “We picked out these sites because they offer a good experience to users with ads on.”
