Microsoft will offer Windows 10 and Office 365 together in a single subscription service, called Microsoft 365.

Microsoft 365 brings Office 365, Windows 10, and Enterprise Mobility and Security services into a single subscription.

“It represents a fundamental shift in how we will design, build, and go to market to address our customers’ needs for a modern workplace,” said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

Microsoft 365 will come in two versions – one for large enterprises and one for smaller businesses.

  • Microsoft 365 Enterprise – Windows 10 Enterprise, Office 365 Enterprise, Enterprise Mobility, and Enterprise Mobility + Security.
  • Microsoft 365 Business – Office 365 Business Premium with tailored security and management features from Windows 10, and Enterprise Mobility + Security.

The business version of Microsoft 365 will also offer upgrade rights to Windows 10, said Microsoft.

  • Microsoft 365 Business will be available in public preview in August, and will launch worldwide later in 2017. It is priced at $20 per user, per month.
  • Microsoft 365 Enterprise will be offered in two plans – Microsoft 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E5 – which will be available for purchase on 1 August 2017.
