Firefox testing voice search

Firefox

Firefox has launched three new Test Pilot experiments – voice search, note taking, and a file-sender tool.

The experimental tools sport the following features:

  • Send – With Send, your files self-destruct after download, so they can’t be accessed by anyone else. The files are also encrypted during transmission, and encrypted on the client side.
  • Voice Fill – Voice Fill supports speech-to-text functionality in Firefox, making it possible for users to input text in Firefox by voice.
  • Notes – Notes is a place to take, store, and retrieve notes within Firefox. Support for Firefox Accounts is also being worked on.

“The Test Pilot programme is open to all Firefox users and helps us test and evaluate a variety of potential Firefox features. To activate Test Pilot, visit testpilot.firefox.com,” said Mozilla.
