The operating system is designed to make use of powerful, high-end hardware to increase performance and reliability.
Windows 10 Pro for Workstations includes the following features:

- Persistent memory – The operating system supports NVDIMM-N modules, which deliver non-volatile high-speed memory.
- SMB Direct – This feature utilises network adapters with RDMA capability to increase data transfer speed with low latency and CPU usage.
- Hardware Support – Windows 10 Pro for Workstations can run on high-end devices, including server-grade hardware with up to four separate processors and 6TB of memory.
Windows 10 Pro for Workstations will be launched as part of the Fall Creators Update.
