Skype desktop app gets a big overhaul
The redesigned Skype desktop app has launched.
The new design brings several new features, including customisable themes, organised chat lists, and cloud-based file sharing.
Skype now also works across multiple devices, and your instant messages and previous chats will be available wherever you log in.
Other changes include the addition of a notification panel, a chat media gallery, and various add-ons which are currently only available to those with the Skype Insider build.
The overhauled Skype for desktop will be delivered by an automatic update for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
