Java, C, and C++ are the most popular programming languages in the world, according to the Tiobe Index for June 2018.
Other popular languages include Python, C#, and PHP, according to the rankings.
Tiobe noted that TypeScript also debuted in the top 100 index, gaining traction following its adoption by Google.
The language is a strict superset of JavaScript with extra type safety, thanks to type annotations, making it an improved version of the standard JavaScript language in certain cases.
The PYPL rankings showed Python at the top of its list, followed by Java and JavaScript.
