According to screenshots discovered by 9to5Mac, a new feature called ‘Assistant’ could début in the iPhone 5.

Assistant would draw its roots from Siri, a voice control app acquired earlier this year by Apple. Siri worked with items stored on your phone, such as location, calendar and contact data, to offer comprehensive solutions to voice requests.

An example of how Assistant may work would be Assistant’s response to the voice request, “Book dinner at KFC.” Assistant would then search your phonebook for KFC’s contact information, as well as searching your calendar for free time in your schedule.
