Facebook is testing a new feature which will allow users to turn off mobile notifications for certain events.

A number of new Facebook notification features are currently being tested, and were noted in a tweet by social media consultant Matt Navarra.

This new functionality lets Facebook mobile users to turn off notification dots for certain shortcuts in the Notification Settings menu of the app, allowing users to choose whether to be notified for Videos on Watch, Marketplace, Profile, or Group events.

The Facebook app now also allows users to mark all their notifications as read with the tap of a single button.

Speaking to TechCrunch, Facebook confirmed that it was rolling out out the new features to a small number of Android and iOS users as part of a testing phase.
