Google cans Google Sets project
Google Sets was a project under the Google Labs banner which allowed users to list five related objects. Google then places these objects into either large or small sets of corresponding objects. Essentially, the search engine finds the relationship between items and expands upon it.
It is just one of many projects under the Google Labs banner that is set to be canned on September 5.
The last comment to come from Google regarding the closure of Google Labs projects came in the form of a post on Google Labs one month ago when Bill Coughran, senior vice president for research and systems infrastructure wrote, “While we’ve learned a huge amount by launching very early prototypes in Labs, we believe that greater focus is crucial if we’re to make the most of the extraordinary opportunities ahead.”
