Corel PaintShop Pro X4 released in SA: pricing details

Globally recognised graphical software developer Corel has officially announced the South African release of Corel PaintShop Pro X4, the latest version of its photo editing software suite.

Corel PaintShop Pro X4 includes over 75 enhanced features which incorporate additional image editing elements, significant improvements in speed and performance, enhancements to the user interface and social media sharing.

According to Corel, feedback from the PaintShop Pro community helped developers isolate the development priorities for this release and directly influenced the set of new features and enhancements.

These include a redesigned HDR engine which provides tools to merge photos and improve exposures, photo blend which allows users to remove unwanted elements from an image, a Fill Light tool which highlights underexposed area without affecting the overall image, selective focus which enhances depth of field and new vignette tools which apply soft, coloured or faded border effects.

Corel PaintShop Pro X4 also boasts improved processing power, delivering a speed increase of 50% on image processing, a full screen preview mode and a revamped workspace which now incorporates tabbed navigation.

The photo editing suite is available now in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch and Polish at a recommended retail price of R699 for the full version and R479 for upgrade customers.
