FNB App for Windows Phone in development

FNB Apps

First National Bank (FNB) is developing a Windows Phone 7 application according to a representative from its App team call centre.

They couldn’t give any indication of when the app might be released, however.

The FNB App allows account holders to perform a variety of transactions, including some available only through the app such as the recently added “Geo Payments” option.

When asked about its plans for Windows Phone 7, head of product and markets at FNB Connect, Farren Roper said: “FNB Connect is constantly looking at ways to expand its Banking App footprint across different operating systems (OS), based on demand as well as the device OS penetration”.

FNB officially launched its banking app in July 2011 for Android, BlackBerry, and iOS (Apple) devices. Support for Nokia’s Symbian devices was added later.
