Microsoft Windows 8 App competition
Microsoft has launched a competition to encourage people to develop applications for its recently launched Windows 8 operating system.
“Microsoft wants your best Windows 8 or Windows Phone 8 apps – and you’ll not only stand the chance to win monthly prizes, but you could possibly have hundreds of millions of people just aching to use and buy your applications,” the company said in a press statement.
Every month until February 2013, the best Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 apps will receive national honors and win prizes like an Xbox 360, a slate PC and Microsoft keyboards and mouses.
The winning apps will be promoted at the TechEd Africa conference which will take place in Durban next April.
