New BBM for Android released

BlackBerry announced today (24 October 2013) that it released a new version of BBM for Android which supports more devices and includes a few bug fixes.

BlackBerry resumed its rollout of BBM for Android and iPhone customers around the globe on 21 October 2013.

This followed a problem with the initial launch dates of BBM for Android on 21 September 2013, and BBM for iPhone on 22 September 2013.

This time around the launch was done in a staged approach, with groups of users being brought online over the last few days.

The new version of BBM for Android comes a day after BlackBerry launched a new version of BBM for iPhone to fix problems on iOS 7.0.3.

BlackBerry also dismissed speculation that it is responsible for duplicate positive reviews on the Google Play store.

“Those weird duplicate reviews of #BBM on Google Play? Definitely not our doing. Love feedback, but please keep it real, peeps,” BlackBerry said on Twitter.
