iStore robbery ends in shooting
It is believed that a man was wounded by gunshots fired by an armed gang that was trying to rob an iStore of Apple electronic devices, EWN has reported.
According to the report, the man appears to have been wounded while the robbers were fleeing the scene.
ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak confirmed to Sapa that there had been a shooting.
“When the paramedics arrived, they found one person shot through the arm. That person was taken to hospital.”
“They [the paramedics] couldn’t find any other injured at the scene but people were in shock,” said Vermaak.”
Police were on the scene when paramedics arrived, but were not immediately available for comment.
