Land Rover space comp
Land Rover’s Galactic Discovery competition is offering people a chance to win a trip to space aboard a Virgin Galactic sub-orbital space flights.
“It is the first time that a competition has offered the chance for a group of four friends to win a trip to space,” said Land Rover.
“The winners will be among the first pioneering travellers to view the earth from space and experience out-of-seat zero gravity.”
The space flight prize is offered by Land Rover and Virgin Galactic to mark the reveal of the new Discovery Sport.
The car was unveiled to the world in a film shot at Spaceport America, New Mexico, which will be the base for Virgin Galactic’s sub-orbital space flights.
To enter the competition, people must produce a 30-second video, or a still image, that “demonstrates their spirit of adventure”.
The entrant must also choose three friends to join them on their space adventure and submit it via Land Rover’s website here: Land Rover’s Galactic Discovery competition
Land Rover SA will also be offering a “Test Drive to Space” as a second prize. It will consist of an all-inclusive weekend away for four people, at the Tswalu Kalahari 5 star deluxe lodge in the rugged Koranneberg Mountains in the Northern Cape.
The Land Rover Galactic Discovery campaign will culminate with the announcement of the four winners in December 2014.
