Takealot relaunches Unboxed Deals

Takealot has relaunched its Unboxed Deals offering, following the suspension of the deals in March.

Unboxed Deals offer shoppers discounts on “returned and shop soiled products”.

“Unboxed products could show signs of slight use, minor cosmetic imperfections, or be missing the original packaging,” states Takealot.

Takealot said all Unboxed Deals are quality checked before being sold, and that the deals may be returned within 30 days in accordance with its returns policy.

Gremlins in the system

Takealot said the initial launch of its Unboxed Deals was a “soft launch”, after the company pulled the promotion from its website.

The move was brought on after customers complained about receiving products that were faulty or broken.

“We have found a few gremlins in our systems that prevent us from providing the level of service we want to provide to our customers and have therefore discontinued the initiative until we fix what we are dissatisfied with,” said Takealot at the time.

Takelot did not respond to questions about the relaunch of Unboxed Deals by the time of publication.
