Uber South Africa has announced that its UberEATS app has been downloaded 550,000 times since its launch a year ago.
“Delivery partners have driven almost 5,000,000km, Along the way, it has expanded the number of restaurants it has partnered with to over 1,200 restaurants across Cape Town and Gauteng,” said Uber.
“One of the best features of UberEATS is the no minimum order size, which customers take advantage of.”
Uber South Africa said the largest single order in UberEATS to date is:
- 39 cheeseburgers
- 21 cokes
- 22 cream sodas
- 16 fried chicken burgers
- 14 Stoneys
- 3 green salads
Top items ordered on the app include cheeseburgers, margarita pizzas, salmon fashion sandwiches, salmon California rolls, and butter chicken, said the company.
