DigiNotar hacker speaks out
A hacker who goes by the nickname ComodoHacker has claimed responsibility for hacking Dutch certificate authority DigiNotar.
ComodoHacker who also claimed responsibility for accessing certificate authority Comodo earlier this year, says he has accessed GlobalSign systems in the past as well as a further four unnamed certificate authorities.
In a statement regarding the DigiNotar hack, ComodoHacker offered a brief description of how he hacked DigiNotar which included finding passwords, using zero-day exploits breaking through firewalls and bypassing cryptographic hardware. A more detailed explanation is set to follow, and ComodoHacker was quick to point out that it could serve as a useful guideline for Anonymous and LulzSec.
ComodoHacker justified his attacks on the Dutch certificate authority by blaming the murder of 8,000 Muslims from Serbian hands in Srebrenica saying, “It’s enough for Dutch government for now, to understand that 1 Muslim soldier worth 10000 Dutch government.”
