October iPhone event on Apple Campus
Sources close to the company say the iPhone launch event will take place on Tuesday, October 4 at the Apple campus in Cupertino.
Apple has previously unveiled new products such as the iPad and iPad 2, as well as all previous versions of the iPhone, in the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts (YBCA) based in San Francisco.
The event will be the first time newly appointed CEO Tim Cook demonstrates a device to the public, an undertaking normally handled by Apple ex-CEO Steve Jobs.
