Microsoft YouTube account hacked
According to a report by Mashable, four advertising-themed videos were uploaded to the Microsoft YouTube account, followed by a video titled “Garry’s Mod – Escape the Box.”
The videos were pulled from the channel shortly after they were uploaded, and since then the channel has been blanked out. There is no channel description, no videos, and the channels country has been changed to the United Kingdom and the hometown is now, “Hey”.
While it not clear how Microsoft’s account was hacked, a message previously posted to the channel reads, “I DID NOTHING WRONG I SIMPLY SIGNED INTO MY ACCOUNT THAT I MADE IN 2006 :/.”
The Microsoft hack follows last week’s hack of the Sesame Street YouTube channel, where the hacker replaced content on the channel with hardcore porn.
