Sharp debuts 80 inch 3D TV
In a press conference at CES, electronics giant Sharp has detailed plans on releasing 17 new TVs this year that are 60 inches or larger.
Leading the pack is the companies new 80 inch 3D TV featuring the company’s new “3D X-Gen” technology, scheduled for an April release.
Also detailed was the new Aquos Board technology, which allows Sharp TV screens to function as modern digital whiteboards.
Sharp went on to detail how they have prototype HDTVs with so called 8K resolution, known as “Super High-Vision”. These have 7,680 pixels of horizontal resolution.
Finally, Sharp introduced the Aquos Freestyle TV range. These TVs range from 20 to 60 inches, and focus on portability. The 20 inch model is battery powered, and features a handle for easy transporting.
