Asus shows off Padfone at MWC
Asus has demonstrated an updated version of its Padfone concept at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show in Barcelona.
The Padfone consists of three parts. The first is a high end Android-based smartphone. The second is a 10 inch class tablet which allows the smartphone to dock with it and share information. The final part is a docking station for the tablet which increases battery life and adds a full sized keyboard to the tablet device.
The smartphone will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and features a 1.5GHz dual-core processor as well as a 4.3 inch S-AMOLED qHD display.
The tablet device meanwhile will sport a 10.1 inch touch screen with a 1280×800 resolution, protected behind the newly announced Corning Gorilla Glass 2. It will be powered by the Same Nvidia Tegra 3 processor found in the Asus Transformer Prime.
