Raspberry Pi may face delays
The highly anticipated Raspberry Pi Linux computer may face shipping delays after what the company calls a “manufacturing hiccup”.
The Raspberry Pi Foundation discovered that during manufacturing the computer boards were equipped with non-magnetic jacks, which would result in a lack of network connectivity if the issue was not addressed.
There is however no cause for concern because this is “a very minor problem to fix, and the factory is nearly done working on replacing them on the first set of boards,” according to the Foundation.
The first set of boards is expected to ship to customers on schedule, though there may be a “slight delay” in the worst case scenario.
The pre-orders for the R260 computer sold out within a day of going on sale, with international demand for the product remaining high.
