Kim Dotcom to get assets back after procedural error?
A procedural error has left a New Zealand court order “null and void”, and could result in Kim Dotcom regaining all of his seized cash and assets.
New Zealand police filed for the incorrect restraining order on Dotcom that didn’t allow for him to have a court hearing prior to the seizure of assets.
A court has ruled that the restraining order is now “null and void”, and a review of the mistakes will soon be conducted by New Zealand’s attorney general.
Despite the error, Dotcom’s lawyers will still have to prove that there was an “absence of good faith when the procedural error was made.”
Dotcom is currently fighting extradition to the United States, where he faces charges that he masterminded a piracy operation through his website, Megaupload.com.
